'Our Etta' as she was fondly called was the second daughter of Lancelot, younger sister to Florence Bertha. Brought up in Thornley Terrace, Tow Law, Co.Durham where little has changed.

Margaretta's first husband, a confectioner opened Elliott's Bakery in Shildon. She married twice and died leaving no children.

I knew her as my 'Aunty Madge' who lived in Shildon, Co. Durham.
